GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Montgomery County Police say a teenager listening to music wearing earbuds and walking near tracks was struck by a train.
Police say about 8:30 a.m. Friday, the 17-year-old was walking next to the tracks in Gaithersburg listening to music. Police say he did not hear the CSX train blow its horn and was hit.
The youth was conscious and alert when he was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
