WASHINGTON (AP) - The District Department of Transportation has begun spraying ginkgo trees around the city in an effort to prevent their odor from becoming a problem.
Crews began spraying the trees on Thursday night and will continue working over the next few days.
The spraying begins in wards 1, 2 and 6, where the female ginkgo trees are most prevalent. Crews will then sprays wards 3, 4, 5 and 7.
