PALMER PARK, Md. - Prince George's County Police have arrested 24-year-old Audrea Archer Blackwell for the murder of Ashley Hope McClurkin in Suitland Saturday night.
Officers responded after 7 p.m. Saturday to find two women were shot outside an apartment complex in Suitland, police said. Ashley McClurkin was transported to the hospital where she later died. Another victim at the complex had a non-life-threatening injury.
Blackwell is facing first degree murder charges and has a no bond status. Anyone with more information on the case is asked to call police.
It was a violent weekend in Prince George's County, with two other fatal shootings.
The first occurred early Saturday morning in a residential neighborhood in the Chillum area. Police say 19-year-old Lester Amilcar Flores-Quintanilla of Alexandria, Va., was shot and killed.
Then, shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday, two men were shot inside a home in District Heights, and one died. Police say several people were inside the home at the time and some kind of dispute led to the shooting. Police have not released details about the victims.
