U.Va. offers 7,759 students admission

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - More than 7,700 high school seniors have received offers of admission from the University of Virginia.
The university says these applicants scored higher as a class on the SAT's math and verbal sections than any previous class. Their combined score was 1,396 out of a possible 1,600 points.
The university hopes to enroll 3,360 students.
Applicants have until May 1 to decide whether to enroll for the 2012-2013 school yar.
