NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) - A sandstorm has delayed the homecoming of about 80 Fort Eustis soldiers who have completed a one-year deployment in Kuwait.
The soldiers with the 7th Sustainment Brigade's 6th Transportation Battalion were scheduled to return Monday. The homecoming ceremony is now scheduled for 1:50 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting.
The Army tells media outlets that air transportation is grounded because of the sandstorm in Kuwait.
The soldiers distributed supplies to forces withdrawing from Iraq.
