Maryland flags to fly at half-staff Tuesday

The United States and Maryland state flags are to be flown at half staff Tuesday.

Governor Martin O’Malley has ordered the flags to be lowered until sunset Tuesday in memory of Major Robert J. Marchanti II, of Westminster who died on Feb. 25 in Kabul, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

This action is taken under the Protocol for the United States and Maryland State flags.
