ANNAPOLIS, Md. - A Virginia man has died after his vehicle crashed into a garage door in Annapolis and caught fire.
Anne Arundel County police say a Jeep driven by 25-year-old Dana Simonsen of Centreville entered the driveway of a home on Fort Hill Court about 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police say the Jeep hit the garage door, pushing it into the garage. Officers say Simonsen apparently lost consciousness with his foot on the gas pedal, causing a wheel to spin until it caught fire.
Simonsen was flown to John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he died from his injuries on Monday.
