Firm sought to manage Md. drug treatment facility

SYKESVILLE, Md. - The Carroll County Board of Commissioners is seeking a company to manage a drug treatment facility in Sykesville.
The Carroll County Times ( http://tinyurl.com/7gazxcj) reports the county is looking for proposals from any company that would like take over the Carroll County Long Term Treatment Facility. The facility is currently being managed by Spectrum Health Systems Inc., a company focusing on substance abuse and mental health treatment.
The county wants to change the way facility operates by offering more treatment services.
Jolene Sullivan, director of the county's department of citizen services, says the facility offers people drug addiction treatment for six to nine months. It can house 48 patients.
