THURMONT, Md. (AP) - The sap is rising at Cunningham Falls State Park near Thurmont.
The Department of Natural Resources and the Friends of Cunningham Falls are inviting park visitors to a maple syrup-making demonstration and pancake breakfast Saturday and Sunday.
Park staffers say they'll explain the history and technique of boiling sugar maple sap into syrup.
A children's tent and live music are also on the menu.
