HAMPTON, Va. - Hampton police say a body found in a vacant home has been identified as a 73-year-old Newport News man.
Police tell The Daily Press ( http://bit.ly/wJ4qf2) that Tommy Alley died of asphyxiation.
Alley was reported missing by his son on Feb. 22. The body was found on Wednesday.
Police say that five days before he disappeared, Alley's truck was used in a store robbery in Hampton. Alley's son, Charles Alley, said his father had a relationship with one of the robbery suspects and at times gave her money and the use of his truck.
