WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) - Beer drinkers can now trace their Budweiser back to the company's Williamsburg brewery.
The beer maker has launched a mobile application called "Track Your Bud" that lets drinkers trace the origin of their beer back to one of its 12 U.S. breweries.
After scanning the code on the beer, drinkers get a guided tour of how and where the beer is made. For beers brewed in Virginia, customers will get content narrated by Dan Westmoreland. He's been the senior brewmaster at the Williamsburg brewery since 2008 and has worked for Anheuser-Busch for 32 years.
The Williamsburg brewery opened in 1972 and supplies beer to Virginia, the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia and some overseas markets.
