Lynchburg residents sign up for health challenge

LYNCHBURG, Va. - More than 440 Lynchburg residents have signed up to get healthy.
Mayor Joan Foster challenged residents in February to lose a total 12 tons this year as she launched the city's Live Healthy Lynchburg program.
WSET-TV ( http://bit.ly/Ka5TDE) reports that participants have lost 1,000 pounds so far.
The free online program helps people find local workout options and healthy food programs. It can be accessed at http://www.livehealthylynchburg.com.
