WASHINGTON - Family members of a man who was seriously injured in a car accident last November gathered to thank a Metro bus driver for pulling him to safety.
http://bit.ly/zDw1QyFOX 5 News reports that the Fowler family met the driver over the weekend at a long-term rehabilitation facility where Richard Fowler is slowly recovering.
Fowler crashed along Pennsylvania Avenue two nights before Thanksgiving, shredding his Corvette and setting it on fire. Driver James Wilfork stopped his bus and ran to the wreck.
He says he pulled debris out of the way, removed the seat belt and pulled Fowler to a safer location to wait for medical crews. Then he got back on the bus and continued his route.
It took the family until now to track down Wilfork.
