MANASSAS, Va. - Prince William County Police have arrested a man they say fatally stabbed an acquaintance and charged him with first-degree murder.

Officers say about 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, 22-year-old Edwin Noe Enamorado Matute of Manassas and 21-year-old Elvin Yobex Guzman Lopez of no fixed address, got into an argument in Manassas.

Police say Lopez pulled a knife, and Matute tried to run away, but fell. Officers say Lopez jumped on Matute and stabbed him repeatedly.

Matute died at a local hospital. Lopez has been charged with first-degree murder.
