Virginia Railway Express appoints acting CEO

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Railway Express has appointed Richard Dalton as acting chief executive officer.
Dalton currently is the commuter-rail company's director of rail equipment and services.
The Free Lance-Star ( http://bit.ly/LD9nfN) says the VRE Operations Board announced Dalton's appointment Tuesday. He will take over July 1, one day after CEO Dale Zehner retires.
Dalton has been with VRE since 2009.
