VCU offers free dental care to disadvantaged kids

RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia Commonwealth University's dental school will offer free services to uninsured and disadvantaged children this week as part of the national Give Kids a Smile Day.
The School of Dentistry's Pediatric Dental Clinic will hold the event Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dental professionals will provide examinations, cleanings, X-rays, fillings, extractions and minor restorations for patients under age 18. The American Dental Association created Give Kids a Smile Day to provide education and oral health care to children from low-income families.
