UPPER MARLBORO, Md. – No children were seriously injured when a school bus was involved in a six-vehicle accident in Upper Marlboro Friday.

Prince George’s County fire spokesman Mark Brady told WTOP it happened just before 9 a.m. at Ritchie Marlboro Road at Brooke Lane.

Prince George’s County Public School spokesman Briant Coleman says there were 26 students on bus route 554 headed to Henry A. Wise High School.

Seven students went to hospitals with minor injuries and other students went to school after getting checked up on the scene, a fire spokesman says.

Two people from the other vehicles went to the hospital, but neither had life threatening injuries.
