RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia's two-year community college system has entered into an agreement with a nonprofit group to promote skill-based education in India.
U.S. Sen. Mark Warner announced the agreement Tuesday between the Virginia Foundation for Community Colleges Education and the India-based Wadhwani Foundation.
Warner says the agreement will allow Virginia's community colleges to share their expertise in a nation with a growing middle class.
The Virginia Democrat is part of a five-member congressional delegation visiting New Dehli, Jaipur, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The trip is aimed at discussing expanding business, trade, defense and cultural relationships.
