FAIRFAX, Va. - Seeing a well-dressed man New Year's morning doesn't seem unusual. Except in Fairfax, this tuxedo-wearing man pulled out a handgun and robbed the Denny's on Fairfax Boulevard Sunday.
City of Fairfax Police say the robbery happened about 6:30 a.m.
The suspect, who was described as white and about 50, walked into the restaurant, showed the black-colored gun and approached the manager.
Police say he demanded the manager open the safe. The manager did and the robber took off out the back of the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Nobody was hurt.
Police say the suspect is described as 6-foot-1 and about 175 pounds. He wore a gray suit or tuxedo and a white dress shirt. He may have been wearing a gray wig.
