Va. prosecutor arrested for DWI, 3-car crash

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - A Spotsylvania County prosecutor faces a driving while intoxicated charge after police say she caused a three-vehicle crash.
The Culpeper Star Exponent reports ( http://bit.ly/rAgOsa) that Spotsylvania County Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Amy Marie Harper crashed her Porsche SUV into another vehicle around 10:55 p.m. Friday, forcing that vehicle into the back of another car. No injuries were reported.
The 38-year-old Fredericksburg resident also was charged with refusing to take a blood or breath test and following too closely.
Commonwealth's Attorney William F. Neely suspended Harper pending the charges.
Harper also worked as a prosecutor in Fauquier County from August 2005 to February 2008
It was Harper's first drunken driving charge.
