VIENNA, Va. (AP) - The group that produces shows at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in northern Virginia has selected an executive who oversees the Hollywood Bowl as its next president and chief executive.
The Wolf Trap Foundation announced Wednesday that it has hired Arvind Manocha to begin leading the organization in January. Manocha succeeds Terrence Jones, who is stepping down after 17 years leading the arts group.
Manocha is currently chief operating officer of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association where he oversees the Hollywood Bowl. The site has been ranked as the nation's best outdoor amphitheater for many years and draws a million visitors each year.
Manocha also directed planning for the Walt Disney Concert Hall designed by Frank Gehry. He took over management of the Hollywood Bowl in 2004.
