BALTIMORE - Revelers will be able to ring in 2012 with a fireworks show at Baltimore's Inner Harbor after all.
The Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts warned last month that a lack of donations threatened the annual fireworks display. But several sponsors have since stepped up to help pay for the event that officials say draws tens of thousands of people to the harbor.
City officials say that the event will feature a performance from the funk and soul group The 8 Ohms Band in addition to an 18-minute fireworks show. The Waterfront Partnership will also present hourly shows with lights, lasers, music and fireworks.
Officials say they'll set up fences around the harbor to help manage pedestrian traffic at the crowded event.
