2nd flash mob robbery hits D.C. convenience store

WASHINGTON -- Another flash mob robbed a D.C. convenience store on Thursday, this time surveillance footage shows 10 young women as the perpetrators.

Shortly after 3 a.m., the women walked into the Shop Express on the 3900 block of Benning Road in Northeast D.C. and stole drinks, candy and other food items. Some of them dumping goods into bags they carried as they rushed out of the store.

On Saturday, a similar robbery occurred at a Germantown 7-Eleven when about 30 people entered the store on Wisteria Drive around 1:45 a.m., stealing a number of items in less than one minute.

Montgomery County Police have identified some of the suspects from that incident but are still asking for the public's help in identifying more.
