Man slain in Gaithersburg died of stab wound

GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Montgomery County police say a man slain in a Gaithersburg apartment died of a stab wound.
Police also say 45-year-old Cesar Smith's body also showed evidence of blunt force trauma, but an autopsy found the stab wound is what killed him.
Smith died after a fight with men who entered his apartment early Monday. Police have said the slaying was not random but have not detailed a motive. No arrests have been made.
