Wednesday - 2/6/2013, 8:51pm  ET

SAN PEDRO SULA, HONDURAS (AP) -- The U.S. has dropped its opener in the final qualifying round for next year's World Cup. Jerry Bengston took advantage of a defensive mix-up by the Americans to score the go-ahead goal in the 79th minute, and Honduras rallied to beat the United States 2-1.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP ) --There's a top-notch matchup in the NBA tonight matching two of the Western Conference's best teams. The Oklahoma City Thunder host the Golden State Warriors as the Thunder try to win their 15th straight game against Western Conference teams.

TORONTO (AP) -- Center Andrea Bargnani (ahn-DRAY'-uh barn-YAH'-nee) was set to come off the bench for the Toronto Raptors tonight against Boston, ending a 26-game injury absence. The top pick in the 2006 draft, Bargnani has not played since tearing a ligament in his right elbow in a Dec. 10 loss at Portland

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- The New Jersey Devils acquired center Andrei Loktionov (LOHK'-tih-ah-awf) from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a draft pick. In a rare deal between two teams that competed against each other in the Stanley Cup finals last year, New Jersey shipped a fifth-round selection in the 2013 draft for Loktionov.

UNDATED (AP) -- Mississippi appears to have hit the jackpot with a football recruiting class that included the consensus No. 1 overall recruit, one of the top receivers and one of the best offensive tackles. Defensive end Robert Nkemdiche (kihm-DEE'-chee) had decided to join his brother Denzel at Ole Miss.
