CORAL GABLES, Fla. - DeAndre Burnett of Miami Gardens, Fla., and Davon Reed of Princeton, N.J., have signed national letters of intent to play basketball for the Miami Hurricanes.
The 6-1 Burnett averaged 36.2 points as a senior at Carol City High, and he's now at Massanutten Military Academy in Virginia. He also considered offers from Virginia, Mississippi, South Carolina and La Salle, Miami officials said Tuesday.
Reed, a 6-6 swingman, averaged 27 points and nine rebounds for Princeton Day School as a junior last season. He chose Miami over Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Xavier and Memphis, among others.
