Thursday:

Wind: S 5-10 m.p.h.

Showers will end tonight and conditions will improve over the next 24 hours. What about the rest of the week?

An area of low pressure will continue to move from west to east BUT south of our area this evening. This combined with the approach of a cold front will keep showers in the forecast this evening. Although, it appears to me that the heaviest rain has already fallen. Areas currently under FLOOD WARNINGS should see improving conditions later this evening.

High pressure will begin building into the region tomorrow. Lots of sunshine with lower humidity levels will prevail through Friday. But over the weekend, as the high pressure center moves off shore, the heat and humidity of summer will quickly build. We are forecasting hot and humid weather with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 80s. There will be chance of scattered afternoon thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday. The best chances for those storms to develop will be west of the metro area. But the storms chances are possible everywhere.
