ASHBURN, Va. -- Washington Redskins tight end Logan Paulsen has a sprained left knee.
Paulsen said Tuesday that an MRI revealed a Grade 2 MCL sprain. He says he was relieved the injury isn't more serious.
Coach Mike Shanahan says he hopes Paulsen won't have to miss a game. Paulsen has extra time to heal because the Redskins have a bye this week.
Paulsen was hurt in Sunday's 24-14 win over the Oakland Raiders. He started the game ahead of Fred Davis and Jordan Reed, who have both been nursing injuries.
Reed missed the game with a bruised right thigh, while Davis played sparingly after recovering from a sprained right ankle.
