ASHBURN, Va. -- No veteran was more excited than Brian Orakpo to be sweating under the scorching late spring sun Thursday at Redskins Park.
Orakpo's fourth year was cut short in Week 2 by a season-ending injury to his left pectoral muscle, the third injury to that area of his body in nine months.
The 26-year-old Orakpo says he feels fresh and is "100 percent." He says the Redskins are not holding him back, and that "when you miss a year, you get to rejuvenate your body, let everything else that was nagging you heal up (too). It's kind of a gift and curse."
Washington coach Mike Shanahan says "you're always hoping that it's healed the right way," but "so far, he looks very good."
