Singer takes national spotlight at FedEx Field again

WASHINGTON – A man with an interesting name is taking the Washington, D.C. sports scene by storm with his national anthem.

The man is not a professional singer, though. His fame comes from his name.

D.C. Washington, 57, hails from Woodbridge, Va., and his name has taken him places. He sang in front of 80,000 Redskins fans when the home team took on the Dallas Cowboys.

His performance was so popular, the Redskins have asked Washington to perform again.
