3 sacks give Redskins' RGIII a taste of pressure

WASHINGTON (AP) - A rookie quarterback put up some great numbers for the Washington Redskins.

It wasn't Robert Griffin III. It was fourth-round pick Kirk Cousins, who threw three touchdown passes in Saturday's 33-31 loss to Chicago.

Of course, Cousins was playing with backups in the second half and is no threat to overtake Griffin for the starting job.

But the No. 2 overall pick could learn some lessons from his teammate. Cousins looks more comfortable in the pocket than Griffin, who didn't get a chance to learn the nuances of a pro-style offense at Baylor.

Griffin could also use some better protection from his offensive line. He was sacked three times and lost a fumble. He completed 5 of 8 passes for only 49 yards.

The Redskins host Indianapolis next Saturday.
