Jaguars’ Joeckel has chance to play at Bengals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars could have left tackle Luke Joeckel back Sunday at Cincinnati.

Joeckel left last week’s loss to Miami with a concussion in the first quarter, but he has since passed part of the NFL’s concussion protocol. He has been cleared to participate in non-contact drills Thursday.

Coach Gus Bradley says Joeckel “still has another couple things he has to go through, but at least at this late in the week for him to have a chance to play on Sunday is great.”

The Jaguars also could have cornerback Aaron Colvin on the field. The fourth-round draft pick has been on the physically unable to perform list all season while he recovers from a knee injury suffered during Senior Bowl practice in January. He practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.
