SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Right tackle Anthony Davis is set to start for the San Francisco 49ers against the Eagles, which would be his season debut after missing the first three games with a hamstring injury.
Tight end Vernon Davis also is active after missing part of two games with a left ankle injury, while backup tight end Vance McDonald was inactive for the second straight week after injuring a knee against the Bears on Sept. 14.
Left guard Matt Tobin and center David Molk are set to make their first career starts for the Eagles on a beat-up offensive line. Molk replaces Jason Kelce, who had sports hernia surgery this week. With All-Pro left guard Evan Mathis and backup right tackle Allen Barbre already hurt and starting right tackle Lane Johnson serving the final game of his four-game suspension, left tackle Jason Peters is the only player in his usual spot.
