SAN DIEGO (AP) — Chargers outside linebacker Jarret Johnson is inactive for Sunday’s game against Seattle to be with his wife, who was in labor.
Also missing the game is cornerback Brandon Flowers, who has a groin injury.
Rookie cornerback Jason Verrett, the team’s first-round draft pick, is expected to start for Flowers while Tourek Williams is expected to start for Johnson.
San Diego’s other inactives are cornerback Chris Davis, safety Jahleel Addae, running back Branden Oliver, center-guard Doug Legursky and defensive tackle Ricardo Mathews.
Seahawks inactives are cornerback Tharold Simon, running back Christine Michael, linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis, tackle Andrew McDonald, wide receiver Kevin Norwood, tight end Cooper Helfet and defensive end Greg Scruggs.
