Jones-Drew out for Raiders with right hand injury

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Oakland Raiders running back Maurice Jones-Drew will miss the home opener against the Houston Texans with an injured right hand.

Jones-Drew did not practice all week but was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Darren McFadden will start in his place.

Starting middle linebacker Nick Roach also was out for Oakland for the second straight week with a concussion. Quarterback Matt McGloin, safety Jonathan Dowling, offensive linemen Tony Bergstrom and Matt McCants and defensive end Shelby Harris are also inactive for Oakland.

Linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee), tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz (foot) and safety Shiloh Keo (calf) are among the inactives for Houston.
