Cardinals center Sendlein out with calf injury

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians says center Lyle Sendlein will be sidelined three weeks because of a calf injury. Sendlein hurt his left calf during the team’s first practice in pads Monday.

Ted Larsen will take Sendlein’s spot with the first team. Sendlein is one of two starters from last year on this season’s projected offensive line.

Sendlein was an undrafted free agent out of Texas when Arizona signed him in 2007. He has started all 16 games in every season but one since 2008. He had 81 consecutive starts before missing the final five games of the 2012 season with a knee injury.
