Much at stake...Hoyas clamp down on St. John's

DENVER (AP) -- The second weekend of the NFL playoffs gets under way later today in the Mile High City. Peyton Manning tries to lead the Denver Broncos to their 12th straight victory when they take on the Baltimore Ravens, with the winner advancing to next weekend's AFC championship.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Later today, San Francisco hosts Green Bay in a rematch of a week-one encounter that saw the 49ers prevail 30-22. The winner of that game moves on to next weekend's NFC championship.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) --Top-ranked and undefeated Duke travels up Tobacco Road to take on the 20th-ranked N.C. State Wolfpack, who check in with a 13-2 mark. The Blue Devils are trying for their 16th victory.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Georgetown is putting on a defensive clinic at Madison Square Garden. The 19th-ranked Hoyas are leading St. John's 35-17 late in the first half of their Big East game today.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- According to a person with knowledge of the situation, Lance Armstrong will make a limited confession to doping during his televised interview with Oprah Winfrey next week. Armstrong, who has long denied doping, will also offer an apology during the interview scheduled to be taped Monday at his home in Austin, Texas.
