BGE to bathe building in purple light

Friday - 1/4/2013, 12:30pm  ET

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Gas and Electric says it will light its downtown headquarters with purple lights to celebrate the Baltimore Ravens' appearance in the NFL playoffs.

The company will turn its building purple Friday night. The company says purple lights have been placed on the outside of the company's headquarters at 110 West Fayette Street. The lights on the fourth floor will give the illusion of a purple ring around the building. BGE says it will keep the lights up as long as the Ravens continue to advance in the playoffs.

The Ravens play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
