CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- LeBron James had 27 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists as the Miami Heat dealt Charlotte its 16th consecutive loss, 105-92. Dwyane (dwayn) Wade added 29 points and nine boards for Miami, which saw a 17-point halftime lead cut to two with 7:16 left before the Heat went on a 11-3 run to pull away for their sixth straight win.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- James Harden scored 17 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter to rally Houston to its fifth straight win, 87-84 at Minnesota. Harden scored 15 of the Rockets' final 17 points, including a pair of driving buckets in the final minute.

DENVER (AP) -- The Denver Nuggets improved to a league-best 9-1 at home by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 126-114. Corey Brewer hit four of his six three-pointers in the final 12-plus minutes and matched his career high with 27 points. The Lakers ended their five-game winning streak despite Kobe Bryant's 40 points, the 10th straight game in which he's scored at least 30.

UNDATED (AP) -- NFL Comeback Player of the Year candidates Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson have been named to next month's Pro Bowl in Honolulu. Manning led the Broncos on a 10-game winning streak that allowed them to wrap up the AFC West title after he missed the Indianapolis Colts' entire 2011 season with neck and back problems. Peterson is the NFL's leading rusher and the Vikings' top offensive threat despite tearing up his left knee on Christmas Eve last year.

DETROIT (AP) -- Central Michigan was the winner at the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl in Detroit Wednesday night, beating Western Kentucky 24-21. Ryan Radcliff threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Cody Wilson with 5:11 remaining to give the Chippewas the lead. The Hilltoppers were stopped on fourth down when a field goal would have tied the game in the final minute.
