FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- The NFL game this evening features two of the premiere teams of the league as New England is playing host to Texas. The Patriots, who are 9-3, have wrapped up the AFC East, while the 11-1 Texans have clinched a playoff berth. Each team is riding a six game winning streak.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- In case you missed last night's NFL game, the Packers came back from a 14-0 deficit to beat the Lions in Green Bay, 27-20. The win gives the Packers a mark of 9-4 and first place in the NFC North.
MIAMI (AP) -- Miami and Atlanta, two of the best teams in the early going of the NBA season, are squaring off tonight in Miami. The Heat beat the Hawks last month 95-89 in Atlanta. Record-wise, Miami is 13-5 while the Hawks are 12-5.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The 15th-ranked Georgetown Hoyas are the only ranked team in action this evening in men's basketball. The Hoyas are playing host to the Lancers from Longwood. The Farmville, Va., school is 2-6, while the Hoyas are 7-1.
KANSAS CITY (AP) -- The Kansas City Royals are working hard this off season to improve themselves. They pulled off a trade yesterday with the Rays and in the process acquired pitcher James Shields. In return for outfielder Wil Myers and a package of minor league prospects, the Royals also got pitcher Wade Davis from the Rays.
