NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments on the Tennessee Titans by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
TENNESSEE TITANS (27)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 30) -- Need a Music City Miracle.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 30) -- Firing Chris Palmer can't solve all this team's offensive problems.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 27)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 24) -- The firing of offensive coordinator Chris Palmer not a good sign for that coaching staff this late in the season.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 20) -- Offensive coordinator Chris Palmer is shown the door after Jake Locker's poor effort in Jacksonville. Now it's quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains' turn to call the plays.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 21) -- Jake Locker makes his second career start Sunday against Houston. The last time he faced Houston on the final weekend of September, the Texans knocked him out of the game in the first quarter with a sack -- and he missed the next five weeks.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 23) -- So Chris Palmer was the problem? On the contrary, the Titans just don't have enough playmakers.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 28) -- Chris Johnson isn't scared of anyone, including the big, bad Texans.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 27) -- The Titans sacked a QB seven times, intercepted a pass, rushed for over 100 yards and lost anyway. It feels like a lost season for a good young team.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 26) -- Tennessee's season at a glance: They blow out a decent Dolphin team on the road only to turn around and take an L at the hands of the Jags.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 26) -- Yeah, firing the offensive coordinator with five games left should really change things.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 27) -- The Jaguars removed whatever air was left in the Titans' balloon.
