Minor league baseball team unveils bacon-accented gear (Photo)

WASHINGTON — Minor League Baseball is always more about the sizzle than the steak. For the Triple-A Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, it’s all about the sizzle: specifically sizzling bacon.

The Philadelphia Phillies affiliate has unveiled it’s Saturday baseball gear, which features strips of bacon.

The team’s alternate cap has a strip of bacon on the front.

The jersey has the team’s nickname “Pigs” in cursive, but it’s underlined by another strip of bacon.

In addition to the “Bacon Hat,” fans can also purchase a “scratch and sniff” bacon strip T-shirt.

The Team’s store website notes the smell lasts for up to 10 to 15 washes.

ESPN.com reports the team has already sold more than 3,000 bacon hats and 1,500 scratch and sniff T-shirts.
