Rape reported at Johns Hopkins frat house

BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police are investigating a rape reported at a Johns Hopkins University off-campus fraternity house.

Detective Ruganzu Howard says police responded early Sunday to a report of a sexual assault at Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house in the 2900 block of St. Paul Street. He says detectives are investigating a rape, but refused to release the incident report, saying that doing so would compromise the integrity of the investigation.

Hopkins officials said in an email sent to students on Sunday that the victim is not a student. The email says the victim said she was assaulted by two people while at a party at the frat house.

Hopkins has barred the fraternity from holding any activities.

Hopkins has been under federal investigation for its handling of sexual assault complaints.
