Boeh leaving job as Fresno State’s AD for new role

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Thomas Boeh is leaving his job as Fresno State’s athletic director for a new position at the university.

The university announced Tuesday that Boeh will be a special assistant to Fresno State President Joseph Castro on the major changes occurring in the NCAA and Mountain West Conference. He will begin his new position Friday and a search for the university’s next athletic director will begin immediately.

Stephen Robertello and Cynthia Teniente-Matson have been named interim co-athletic directors.

Robertello, the senior associate athletics director for intercollegiate services, will oversee the daily athletic operations, sports administration and student-athlete services. Teniente-Matson, chief financial officer, vice president for administration and athletic corporation board chair, will assume responsibility for finances, facilities and business operations.

Boeh had been Fresno State’s athletic director since July 2005.
