CAIRO (AP) -- A bomb attack outside Cairo University's main campus in Egypt has left a police general dead. Seven other people were hurt, including several top police officers.
Three bombs went off, hitting riot police who'd been deployed against protests by Islamist students.
The bombings are the latest in a campaign of attacks targeting Egypt's police and military. They are taking place amid a fierce crackdown by security forces against protesters who support ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi.
