EMORY, Va. (AP) -- Construction of a new $20 million arts center is underway at Emory & Henry College.
The school says in a news release that the Woodrow W. McGlothlin Center for the Arts will house a 450-seat theater, a 150-seat black box theater, dressing rooms, production areas, gallery space, the college's radio station and a three-dimensional design studio.
The center's namesake is a 1937 graduate of Emory and Henry who served on the college's Board of Visitors for 30 years. McGlothlin also is a longtime benefactor of the college.
