WASHINGTON (AP) -- Call it doggy diplomacy.
Radio station WTOP-FM (http://bit.ly/155GtAJ ) reports that Georgetown University's bulldog mascots, Jack and Jack Jr., recently played host to the two bulldogs who are mascots for Indiana's Butler University.
Georgetown's top dogs and the visiting "dog-nitaries," as the university called them, sat in leather chairs and posed for a group portrait wearing university colors. A post on Jack's page on Facebook says the mascots discussed best napping practices and tips on avoiding the "pup-arazzi."
Like Georgetown, Butler has both a mascot and a mascot-in-training. "Butler Blue II" has been the school's mascot since 2004. "Butler Blue III" had his first day as mascot in 2012. Georgetown's Jack Jr. arrived on campus in April 2012.
