SAMMAMISH, Wash. (AP) - An online threat of a shooting at Skyline High School in Sammamish prompted officials to close the school Thursday in the Issaquah (IS'-uh-kwah) School District on Seattle's east side.
Police and the King County sheriff's office are investigating the threat, which circulated on social media and was accompanied by a photo of a gun.
The school district issued a statement Wednesday night saying it was closing Skyline High School on Thursday out of an abundance of caution for the safety of students and staff.
