Suspect in Washington police shooting spree jailed

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — A 43-year-old Granite Falls man accused of shooting at police stations and other targets in three Snohomish County towns last week is now in jail.

The Herald reports (http://is.gd/io89J6 ) that Hans Hansen was booked into Snohomish County Jail on Saturday for investigation of first-degree assault with a weapon and drive-by shooting.

Hansen had been taken to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries following Wednesday’s shooting spree in the towns of Granite Falls, Lake Stevens and Marysville. He is accused of firing gunshots from his pickup truck.

Two Marysville police officers who fired their weapons during the incident have been placed on administrative leave. A Marysville police sergeant who was injured has been released from a local hospital.
