Shots fired at New Jersey police station overnight

WEST DEPTFORD, N.J. (AP) — Authorities are investigating a drive-by shooting at a police station in southern New Jersey.

Police in the Philadelphia suburb of West Deptford say a dark-colored sedan drove through the parking lot twice just after 4 a.m. Tuesday, and someone fired seven rounds toward the building.

Lt. Stephen Meduri says six bullets hit the outside of the building, and another went through the window of the deputy chief’s office. Four officers were working at the time, but only the supervisor was in the station when the shots were fired.

Authorities say no officers were injured.

Meduri says police have video of the suspect’s vehicle, but not of the shooting.
